NXP Semiconductor P3T1035UK/P3T2030UK Digital Temperature Sensors are temperature-to-digital converters utilizing an on-chip band gap temperature sensor and A-to-D conversion technique with overtemperature detection. The devices contain various data registers: Configuration (Conf) stores the device settings, such as device operation mode, and temperature register (Temp) holds the digital temp reading, which is communicated by a controller via the 2-wire serial I3C/I2C-bus interface.

The P3T1035UK and P3T2030UK sensors can be configured for different operation conditions. The devices can be set in normal mode
to periodically monitor the ambient temperature or shutdown mode to minimize power consumption. The temperature register always stores a 12-bit two's complement data (2 Bytes), giving a temperature resolution of 0.0625°C. It also allows 8-bit (MSByte) reading with a temperature resolution of 1°C.

In I2C mode, the P3T1035UK and P3T2030UK temperature sensors support global read/write operations that allow the controller to access multiple devices simultaneously. It does not require the controller to access each P3T1035UK/P3T2030UK individually. The P3T1035UK/P3T2030UK are available in a WLCSP4 package, have eight factory-programmed device address options, and operate from -40°C to +125°C.
