Xilinx® Alveo™ SN1000 SmartNIC Accelerator Card combines network connectivity, computing, and storage acceleration into a single solution. The Alveo SN1000 is a single-slot, half-length, full-height Network Interface Controller (NIC) integrating an XCU26 FPGA and an NXP Semiconductors Layerscape Processor featuring 16 Arm® v8 Cortex®-A72 cores. The passively-cooled SN1000 has two QSFP28 network connections and an x16 PCI Express® Gen 3/Gen 4 x8 interface connected to the XCU26. The SN1000 SmartNIC offers software-defined hardware acceleration for all function offloads, enabling the device to directly offload CPU-intensive tasks to optimize networking performance.

The Xilinx Alveo SN1000 SmartNIC features full protocol-level offload acceleration customization, application-specific data paths, and provides the ease of P4 high-level language programming. Vitis Networking, Xilinx’s P4 toolkit, enables customers to compose custom offloads and tweak existing offloads to handle new protocols and applications without replacing hardware.
